Q: Was getting messages across Mac devices but no longer

I was getting phone calls and text messages on my mac, iPad, and 5S iPhone but since changing administrator in User group, no longer getting text messages nor phone calls on my macbook Air (Yosemite) nor my iPad. I deleted my name from the User Group but when I reentered along with original password, all information was there except no longer receiving messages or phone calls.

What kind of administrator/user group combination is it?

If itʻs for school/university/work related account, open a ticket with the work/school technical support.

If itʻs an other type of scenario (such if you are using Apple Configurator or MDM or other similar solution to administer the device yourself), more info would be needed.

There are so many reasons why the messages can stop working; in this case at least itʻs easy to see where to continue = where, who, or how the administrator was changed.

Thanks so much for the response - I am now getting texts and calls across all devices(iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air).  However, when I go into user groups, I am unable to delete a User/administrator (on my personal MacBook Air) because it is greyed out; but, when I go to Parental Controls, I am able to delete the particular user/administrator and then it is also deleted in the User group. I then need to shut down and reboot and it seems that everything is again working  - thanks so much for replying!
