Q: Pages Documents not propagating properly from iCloud

I have a new iPad Air 2 with OS 8.1.2 and a Yosemite 1010.1 Mac Mini with the latest versions of Pages and Numbers installed.

Both Numbers and Pages are activated in the iCloud settings on the iPad iOS. In both Pages and Numbers own settings they're set to use iCloud.

However only Numbers is showing any of my files from iCloud and Pages is not.

I need some help!

Any suggestions?

    Hi Tim Keep,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that your Pages documents are not syncing between your devices using Documents in the Cloud. In this situation, I would recommend working through the troubleshooting steps in the attached article to help resolve the situation.

The iPad Air 2 was actually Set-Up by restoring a back-up from my previous iPad 2 (normal).

I actually restored it after having already logged into my iCloud account in the shop.

So when I restored it, it was using the old iPad 2 system prefs but the individual iPad air icloud login that I made at the shop

When I started to try to sync pages the first time, the iCloud sync for pages in the preferences of either pages or indeed iCloud was off. So I turned it on in the iPad Air system settings but it no files sync'd.

So then I turned on Pages iCloud sync on the original iPad 2.

Then I also logged out of iCloud on the iPad Air and logged back in again.

    That solved the problem.

I think it was the fact it was using something from the iPad 2 . . . so actually logging out of iCloud and logging back in after doing the restore on the iPad Air 2 solved the problems!

    I hope that helped.
