Hi all, about three weeks ago our powerbook's hard drive gave up the ghost. A few hundred dollars later and we're back up and running. But we've lost a few applications, including Garage Band which came with the powerbook as part of iLife04 when we bought it. What gives?
It wouldn't be titled iLife on the Software Restore CD. Insert the disk and it
should come up with a "Custom" option that will let you choose what to install.
No luck. I found no custom istallation options. I went in deeper with Pacifist and found some other software that hadn't been installed also but there was no iLife pkg. I think iLife was installed as an extra on our computer because the store had some kind of special [256Mb extra RAM and iLife free with every Powerbook purchase IIRC].
However I did just find two cards with three perferated coupons on each for iLife '04 in our computer's box. Thay say "...To get software updates and other special offers from Apple, you'll need these coupons as proof that you purchased iLife '04.*...
Should I take these to the store that I bought the computer at. The warranty has long expired.
