Mac Pro 2013 - red light in base

Suddenly my 2013 Mac Pro (12 core) isn't responsive -- the Apple Display (DVI) doesn't come on (it's functional, verified w/MBP), the fan is spinning, the ports light if I turn the base, but there's a red LED in the base that cycles on and off every 8 seconds or so (taking the fan with it).

Thoughts?

Try resetting the SMC and PRAM

Thank you!!

I was so freaked over my little precious not behaving that I didn't think to do what I'd tell anyone else to do.

It was unplugged all night, then I performed the PRAM reset on first boot of the day, so I don't know whether it was SMC or PRAM. I'm inclined to think the latter, as one of the SMC trouble signs cited on the link you gave is that the port illumination lights don't work, whereas mine did.

Thanks again.
