Apple Planned Obsolescence.!!!

I have an iPod touch 5th generation that had ios 6 on it when i bought it. When the new updates came out i did not download them but one day i connected my ipod to my macbook pro and it updated accidentally to ios8.

Since having ios8 on my ipod its pretty much useless.

* it gets very hot

* the battery does not last at all

* its slow and laggy

* some buttons i have to click more than once to make them function

* keeps dropping wifi

* it will not connect to my car, saying device not compatible with ios8 (uncertified cable)

* app store keeps crashing or says i am not connected to the internet

* have issues syncing to my computer (many different error codes)

* screen goes fuzzy or glitches every now and then

* sometimes it freezes and i cant do anything but wait for the battery to go flat.

All this and more happens to my ipod 5 since having ios 8 on it.!!!!

How can i downgrade back to ios6..???

iOS does not install accidentally. You need to click OK for it to download and ok for it to install. Take your iPod in for servicing. It sounds more like hardware failure.

Try restoring the iPod to factory settings/new iPod to see if that helps. Do not restore from backup. Regarding the car compatibility, iOS 8 seems to make the iPod more aware of marginal cables. Try a new cable.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
