Q: I keep getting "This iPad could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPad."

I have been able to sync this iPad in the past (last time was in Nov/early December).  I have not changed my iTunes account.  I had recently updated iTunes to 12.0, but was able to sync iPad at that time.  I am operating on OSX system.  I have read through numerous support pages and feel like I have exhausted just about all of the suggestions.  I have restarted computer and iPad numerous times throughout all of this.   I have authorized/deauthorized/authorized (it says that it is authorized).  I am baffled. The only change that I had made since last time I synced was: I had to change password because I forgot what it was.  Credit information had to be updated.  I created a different Apple ID for a different Apple product (iPhone).  I am completely baffled and frustrated because I paid for this app that I need for work and I can't access it!  Any ideas?
