The harddisk (1000 GB / 931 GiB) seems too small! (< 1931 GB / 1798 GiB)

Check the harddisk size: HD jumpers settings, BIOS detection...

Ok after an entire day it finally finished scanning:

No disk found.

TestDisk will try to restart itself using the sudo command to get

root (superuser) privileges.

sudo may ask your user password, it doesn't ask for the root password.

Usually there is no echo or '*' displayed when you type your password.

What is the next step now Loner T? 🙂

Jan 14, 2015 7:16 PM in response to jaggboy

None of these entries look reasonable. Can you post the output of the dd command I had posted earlier? You may not have a lost NTFS partition, but just a corrupted bootblock/bootloader that Windows Startup Repair can fix easily.

sudo dd if=/dev/rdisk0s4 count=1 2>/dev/null | hexdump -C

It may also be helpful to know what events took place between Windows working and not working. Was it a Yosemite upgrade?

Jan 14, 2015 9:09 PM in response to Loner T

Thanks Loner T. Excuse my ignorance again but what do I do to post that output?

As far as what events happened I followed this instructional video on extending my partition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeKeawqxUa0

It worked great and I was using windows just fine. That is how I know all the data is still there and is worth trying to save. Its only my computer life since forever. 😟 But only when I booted back into the Mac side would it not let me back into Windows. It says missing OS system...

Also I don't know how to use Windows repair unless your actually in Windows?
