volume scale

hi there. i have an alesis v49 midi keyboard and my question is when i plug it in and use the keyboard in GB the sound that comes from the keyboard is affected by how hard i press down on the keyboard. is there any way to change that so no matter how hard or soft i play the same volume note. thanks in advance.
