- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

- Try another cable. The cable for 5G iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Jan 14, 2015 5:33 AM in response to lllaassby samphi,i had tried the DFU mode but an error 4005 message occured. also i havent used the ipod for more than 12 hours. when i plugged it recently, the same icon occurred. what to do now? according to http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201569, this should appear, but sadly mine only showed the low battery icon. please help. what does this image mean? someone please help! thanks!
