Q: poor wifi connection and FaceTime iphone 5c OS8.1.2

iPhone 5c FaceTime to iphone 5c, poor connectivity on wifi. Frequent video freezing. Both phones work fine on Cellular data.

Both iphones have up to date OS 8.1.2.

Both have high speed quality connection on wifi and strong signal

Both work fine on audio FaceTime.

Have restored both iphones

Have reset network settings

Have tested ISP provider and ping

I believe I have tried every possible work around?

Any thoughts?

Im beginning to think Its an Apple issue and OS 8.1.2.

That problem could be due to bottlenecking at some point in the network path. Of course, video requires much more bandwidth than audio.

Speedtest results and ping times don't really mean much since they are best case to a very close server.

One bottleneck point can be your WiFi router. Check the settings on your router: iOS and OS X: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support

I have checked from my end, my settings are correct, but have not from the other end user. Will try that.
