from > http://support.apple.com/en-us/TS3694 - finding " 3014 " > select leads to Error 3194, Error 17, or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build" - Apple Support a troubleshooting page. I suggest that you read both carefully.
When speaking with AppleCare specialists, being proactive to some degree has helped me in the past
- get a trouble ticket # (for future references, you may well need to call them back)
- if a transfer of the call to another specialist is necessary, insist on the 1st specialist stay on the line until you are actually speaking with #2
- you can always ask for a supervisor if you are getting nowhere
I rarely have to call them, so it has been a Senior Specialist that has brought joy to the issue every time.
