How to disable the account setting synchronization of mail

Hi everyone,

i have a little problem here that drives me crazy.

I have a IMAP mail account on the mail server in my agency. On the mac in my agency i connect with the server over a internal server-address. But on the mac at home i cannot use this address. I have to use the external address of the agency. Both macs are connected to iCloud over my Apple id.

The problem is, when i change the server-address of the mail account on my home mac it also changes the server-address on the mac in the agency. The same happens when i change it back on my agency mac with my home mac.

How can i disable this sync? I deactivated Mail in the iCloud settings on both macs but nothing happens.

Do you have solution for me?

Best regards,

Five

Hi FiveEcco,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that your Mail account settings are updating from one computer to another and you would like to stop that from happening. After the troubleshooting that you have already completed, I suggest turning off iCloud Keychain to troubleshoot. Please let me know if the issue continues.

iCloud Keychain can also keep the accounts you use in Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Messages up to date across all of your Mac computers. If you sign in to Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, or any other accounts in Internet Accounts on OS X Mavericks, iCloud can push those accounts to your Mac computers as well.

Cheers,

Joe
