And if it does not, we just need a little help from our friends in Cupertino.

Oct 4, 2015 7:56 AM in response to bacaveby rckyrccn,I am experiencing the exact same thing my Mac OS is Yosimite 10.10.5, my iMovie 10.0.9, my Apple TV software is 7.2... I found anything that says how to fix this and I don't get a sense that Apple believes this is an urgent issue. I have 5 of Apple TVs and the iMovie Theater was an awesome feature. I need it back the way it was.

Nov 3, 2015 9:40 AM in response to Brett Lby bacave,I have put my 660 short movies out from iMovie Theater, in the iMovie application on the iMac, into an iCloud Drive folder. I erased the remaining ten movies from iCloud but kept them in the iMovie Theater on the iMac. Then I transferred these ten back to iCloud. On the Apple TV I disconected then reconnected to iCloud.
And presto! Voilà! iMovie Theater is again working on the Apple TV.
Perhaps 670 short movies is too much for the Apple TV (at least the previous version) to access.
I now use iCloud Drive to save and look at them.

May 26, 2016 6:04 AM in response to Kriskoolby StevenLeMay,Sounds weird but I was able to overcome this issue by changing the name of my Apple TV (3rd generation). I wanted to make sure that all the devices associated with my Apple ID were correct and the Apple TV was the only one with a generic name. So, I changed it to a custom name and suddenly I was able to access iMovie Theatre and ICloud Photos.

May 26, 2016 12:12 PM in response to Kriskoolby Diana.McCall,It's been reported that there's a limit of 50 movies, see Re: Apple TV 4 - cannot connect to iMovie theater
If you have more than 50, that could be your problem. Maybe recent updates are checking this limit more carefully.

Jun 21, 2016 9:42 AM in response to bacaveby Kriskool,Hey Guys !!
I finally found the solution that worked for me . I had a an old vid that was hidden (invisible, probably corrupted) on iMovie on my iPhone, I dont know why !!! but when I tapped (completely by chance) on the black area where this old film was located, this old film couldn't be played.. I think the file was corrupted.. . So I deleted it completely and then my iMovie Theater started to work on Apple TV 4 This old movie must have been there after a update or so..and remain hidden .. and it was blocking all iMovie theater on Apple TV...
so check your imovie app on your iPhone and tap on black areas just besides your visible movies ans maybe you will find a hidden movie still there.. and delete it !!!

Jul 10, 2016 10:47 AM in response to Rob1sonjrby Paul_Davison,I have this exact issue on ATV4 - updated with current TVOS as of July 2016. All other iOS devices can create and share iMovie content to iMovie Theatre.
Contacting Apple support first brought some very blank thoughts with no one really understanding the issue. Then I was told that this functionality should only work with content created on iMovie for Mac but some quick links to Apple pages and screenshot of App Store page for iMovie showed this to be false information.
This strikes me as a simple conflict between AppleTV and iCloud Drive - because there is no iCloud Drive setting on AppleTV and iCloud Drive had to be activated on the iPhones before iMovie Theatre would sync across.
Very frustrating that this is an issue first identified over a year ago however Apple have not been able to devise a solution.
Do I need to return my AppleTV unit and have it replaced?
