How do I disable my PayPal account as my method of payment so that I can use family sharing?

I have been trying to setup our family sharing but I keep getting the message that PayPal is not a valid payment method. Even after logging into my itunes account and updating my CC info, I am still getting the same message. I need to know how to disable PayPal as a payment method.
