Can I use AirDrop to share the photos on my hard drive with just my iPhone? I'm using a Mac Mini with Yosemite and was wondering if photos could be shared using AirDrop (or something else) to just my own iPhone running i)S

As the article you attached above says, yes, you can use AirDrop if you have an iPhone 5 or later running at least iOS 7.
