Create a new playlist folder. Drag it into the folder. Delete the folder. It's gone! If you want it back, Go to Account on the menu bar and select Turn on Genius.
Sir/Madam, you are a GENIUS 🙂 much love!
Thanks, PenPenKun. Your solution is genius. Intuitively, you'd think you would right click on the Genius playlist, then hit delete (like all other Playlists), but nooooo. Creating a folder, dragging it in, then deleting the folder is a crazy workaround, but I'm glad it works. It sounds silly, but I just didn't like looking at that Genius logo when I don't use Genius.
Thank you very much mountaintrail!
Yes using a playlist folder finally worked for me. Although, I've just noticed that Genius re-appears every time i re-start itunes. Have you (or anyone else) noticed this? Anyway, thanks again for taking the time, I appreciate it.
Thank You so much! As you can see, I've been waiting 6 months for a solution.
I have the same problem as kidquotes. Genius has never been turned on and it won't drag into any playlist!!!
Please help...
