how do i shrink a doc to 4MB

I've created a doc. on pages and wanted to share on Facebook but it was too large so i shrunk it down using "advanced-> reduce file size" and it shrunk down 12 KB but can shrink it no more...

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Pages produces bloated files.

Open it and resave it from Word or LibreOffice.

Thank you, I just tried this but I'm constrained by the requirements that the file be 4 MB and saved as JPG, PNG, GIF or TIFF files. Any other suggestions? I'm trying to post to FB if that helps.

To get images from your Pages document:

Export to PDF
Open the PDF in Preview
1. View > Thumbnails
2. Select the Thumbnail to export as an image
3. File > Export…
  1. Change the Format to the preferred image type
    Resolution/Quality values to meet size constraints
  2. Adjust filename and location to taste
  3. Save
