I use the dictation function in Mavericks (speech-to-text) a lot for writing technical / medical material. It is 99% efficient for common English language. However, it frequently repeatedly gets the same specialized words wrong and I repeatedly need to correct the text by typing it in afterwards. For example, the B1 vitamin deficiency disease beriberi almost invariably comes out as berry berry (sometimes "very very"). Edema is interpreted variously as "a gamer", "a demur"...etc. There can be several such errors in even a short paragraph - very frustrating and sometimes quicker to type in the whole text! Is there any way I can train the software to learn these words correctly - once an for all?
