iPod 5 Won't charge, turn on, or show any signs of working at all.
I've had my iPod touch 5 for a few months now, recently due to traveling, I lost the charging cable that came with the iPod, so I bought a 3rd party charging cable, as it was the quickest solution possible, it worked for around a week until I got this message:

The charger completely stopped working the next day, the iPod's battery died a few hours later, so when I found out that 3rd party chargers are no longer supported, I went ahead and ordered an official cable off of the apple store, it arrived 4 days later(today).
Now here's my problem, during those 4 days of waiting for the charger to arrive, it seems like the the iPod completely ran out of battery, and the low battery screen(http://i.imgur.com/mfkZDkm.png) stopped appearing, now when I try to charge it, it wouldn't show any signs of charging at all(even after letting it charge for almost an hour), neither would it turn on when I hold down the power button.
Things I have tried:
-Doing a hard reset. <-Holding down the home button and the power button until it turns on.
-Plugging it in to my laptop and putting into recovery mode, two of my laptops couldn't even detect it.
