Macbook Pro 15 (2012) trackpad scroll not working correctly

I am basically wondering if there is a way to recalibrate the trackpad on a macbook pro, whenever i use the two finger scroll, it seems to want to swipe back to the previous page, or forward if I just went back, instead of just scrolling down the page. Anyone have anything like this happen? or a solution for it? Any input is greatly appreciated, I have no ideas, and this is getting extremely annoying.
