Q: Airplay has quit working. I've got the latest updates. No apple products will connect to it.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.

1. Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
2. Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
3. Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
4. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
5. Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
6. Restart your mobile device.

ive had this issue over the past few days seemingly out of nowhere.

did the above suggested steps & went as far as restoring the Apple TV.

usually my Mac gives an error when trying to AirPlay display.

if i try my iPad then the Apple TV will display an error.

if i do get it to mirror it is super spotty. a friend is having similar issues.

buggy current Apple TV software maybe?

my appleTv is the newest update

my macbook air OS X yosemite 10.10.1

my iPad air 8.1.2

my iphone 5s 8.1.2

and non of them wants to show airplay why is that?
