I want to enter a command to print the current date into a footnote in Numbers so when I print the document, the date of printing will appear. Can't seem to figure it out. Help??

To acsess the footers you need to go to the print screen:
there you can add page numbers or insert the date/time.

Once you get the Date and Time inserted in the Header/Footer using Quinn's instructions, you can Double-Click the Date/Time object in the Header/Footer and choose from seven different formats.

Not in Numbers 3. You must manually Set to Today in Print Preview:
Click on the date in the page header or footer to see that dialogue.

That's what I was afraid of. Apple had auto updating in Pages, why not here?

That was in Pages '09
Pages 5 (thank goodness) does not update. I prefer to see the date of my latest update. Then I can choose to update the Header/Footer or not.
