Jan 15, 2015 12:03 PM in response to Maha66by PSkilton,You will have to sign into iCloud on both devices and make sure that the Notes that you want synced are saved under the iCloud account on your iPad. See iCloud: Notes overview> for information.

Jan 15, 2015 1:02 PM in response to PSkiltonby Maha66,TThanks for the response. Can you tell me how to do it? On my MacBook i have preferences, iCloud, it has my name and a sign out tab (so I'm assuming im signed in), and notes is checked. On my iPad i have settings, iCloud, a red sign out (so I assume I'm logged in), and notes are on. But they are not updating. What else do I need to do? Thanks again.

Jan 15, 2015 1:22 PM in response to Maha66by PSkilton,Okay, seeing that you are signed into iCloud on both devices, and notes is enabled on both, Notes should be syncing.
On your iPad go to Settings>Notes>Default Account (make sure that the iCloud account is the default account. Otherwise, any notes that you have made will not be synced with iCloud.
If your default account is not iCloud, change it to be so, and then you can copy and paste your notes into new notes, which will make them be created on the iCloud account, enabling them to sync. Hope this helps! -
Jan 15, 2015 2:41 PM in response to PSkiltonby Maha66,TThat's the weird thing I don't understand. iCloud is the default account on the iPad and still no synch.

Jan 16, 2015 7:59 AM in response to PSkiltonby Maha66,II've been logged in to iCloud on both devices. strangely, when I made notes on my MacBook they showed up on the iPad but not vice versa! Unfortunately, carrying the MacBook around in the field is completely impractical. Thanks for trying to help but I give up. Looks like I'll have to copy and paste them into an email on the iPad, email them to myself, and copy and paste into the MacBook. Thanks again!

Jan 16, 2015 8:30 AM in response to PSkiltonby PSkilton,I'm sorry, I should've specified in the last post, if you sign into icloud.com in a web drowser on a desktop, such as Safari on your laptop, are you able to see any of your notes?

Jan 16, 2015 8:33 AM in response to Maha66by PSkilton,If the notes showed up on your iPad when created on your MacBook, the notes on your iPad are not created on your iCloud account. Try copying and pasting them into a new note making sure that the default account for notes is iCloud.

Jan 16, 2015 9:03 AM in response to PSkiltonby Maha66,Thanks again for trying to help but Ive had it with iCloud. I just checked my calendar on my macbook and its gone! Thank god its still on my iPad. On my macbook all my contacts have mysteriously doubled (2 of each). Ill go ahead and delete one of each of the doubles when i get time. Honestly, my original question was an attempt to simplify my life and now the opposite has happened! Ive logged off of iCloud on both devices and hope and pray the mysteries stop. Ill duplicate notes onto the macbook the old fashion way (email and cut and paste). Hopefully, Ill only have to log onto iCloud when I want to backup my iPad and then log off again. Thanks again but I don't have time for this. Hopefully the wackiness is over.
