Cannot locate files without flash drive in computer

I have 3 computers with different music. Trying to get them all on one. Thought I successfully saved music from one to a flash drive, if I take flash drive out of computer the music file cannot be located. There's got to be an easier way, all computers have same account but music from one will not "share" to others. What do I do?!?!?!?!?

Also, during all this I have managed to get duplicate songs, I found where I can view duplicate items, is there an easier way than clicking each individual duplicate and delete the extras?

When you are adding the songs to the library on a different machine, insert the flash drive and then drag the songs to the Automatically Add to iTunes folder. This folder is found in your iTunes Media folder.

iTunes will process them and create copies on the local drive.

When you remove the flash drive, verify that the song files are on the local drive and are playable in iTunes.

Tell us the exact steps you took to save the music to the drive. It is possible you didn't save a copy there but relocated your media files there and that is where iTunes now goes to look for them.
