You need to change your primary address to the country where you would move to. This you do here My Apple ID. >Manage Your Apple ID, Log IN with your credentials, Navigate to Adresses, and editing your Primary Address and change that.

But, you have to ensure that you have a payment method in the currency in use at that new address with that country code, ie Credit Card associated with it. The system will verify that it is correct ito the country code, and that the ID is not already in use.

You will then be able to make purchases in that Country. There are some drawbacks to this.

It is easier to use multiple accounts feature in the system to do that and tie them to your Apple ID

On your iTunes remove the previous payment method, and enter the new one.

Note, it must be an account in the new address. You can't use a Credit Card issued by a bank in Scotland to pay for stuff in Ireland. That is what I meant by the country code verification. Further, in Editing the address, ensure that you changed the country too.

I use the second method now, having accounts in different countries tied to my AppleID. But I used the first method for a number of years

If after doing everything that leopardus has suggested, your iTunes Store still opens in the wrong country, scroll to the bottom of the iTunes Store window and click the Flag button. That will allow you to change Store location. However, if you do not have a credit card issued from that country, you still won't be able to purchase.

    Nope!

It has to be valid tender in the country where that store is located.

No, it is not easier. Read this: Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support

    Especially this part:

When you remove your Apple ID from a device, the 90-day limit stays in place on that device. But you can associate your Apple ID to another device that doesn't have the 90-day limit. Depending on when you associated the device, you might need to wait to associate it to a new Apple ID.

You should use only one Apple ID and if you do change the country, you should change Credit Card details.

Long before Family Sharing and all the comparatively new directions came out, my family and I have literally been living in three countries. Three countries where we did business and lived, depending on the time of the year. We also purchased in different locations the different devices, and therefore could get the support when required. In a fourth country, there was none, but how support was handled is another matter.

Suffice to say that, at the time, as advised by Apple under the Apple Care program, we have had multiple accounts with different emails, in this domicile tied to our Apple ID. The downloads and other stuff was handled on different Devices, the one's bought in those countries. It was the only way to do it at that time. Still lacking, in my humble view, is the ability to see and update the previous purchases done in another country under the same Apple ID, because whatever way you do it, the 90day rule applies. It is tied to the country (store).

Later, much later came out Family Sharing and the other stuff. What we did do then, was to allocate them to members within our own family. The tender is legal and issued in the country of purchase with our details as parents. These family members are also users on our various Macs as users and can install their stuf, albeit with limited rights. And yes you are correct with the 90 day rule. But that never affected us, as we have a couple of Macs.

Hope that gives you some clarity on our position

Only because didn't affect you and your familly doesn't necessary mean it can not affect others.

It might be worth it to show/explain to others the consequences of using multiple Apple IDs.

Firstly, the issue of valid tender has been mentioned to him before on the thread.

Kindly take note too, I clearly mentioned that I used one Apple ID and am still using it. Different ID's are used by other members of my family, ie my children, wife etc. But also bought different Macs and Devices in other countries. It does enable us to buy music in other languages for instance that might not be available in a specific store.

As far as the 90day rule is concerned, I can only think that you did not read this, or you are unaware of it.

Last point noted, agreed, and will heed it, but was never asked. Kindly read the thread again.

    Kind regards

    Leo
