Q: I can't get icloud to sync pages documents

I'm trying to get iCloud to sync Pages files between my iMac and MacBook Air.

Guides for configuring iCloud say that you need to select the "the Documents & Data check box" in the iCloud System Preferences - but this check box does not appear in my iCloud System Preferences .

So what do I try next?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

In Yosemite you will no longer see "Documents & Data" in the Sytem Preferences < iCloud.

Select "iCloud " instead and enable "Pages" in the "Options". That will only work, however, idf you are having Yosemite on all Macs and iOS 8 on all mobile devices.

Thanks, Leonie. That solution ought to work, but I actually already had all those options checked in System Preferences.

But even with those options checked, having saved a Pages file to iCloud on my MacBook Air, when I open that file from my iMac, it only shows an old version of the file, not the latest version.

That could be disastrous if I was relying on accessing the latest version of an iCloud file while I was travelling.

Does anyone know what I might need to change to make iCloud work as it is supposed to?
