No alert tone when receiving message on iPhone6. Occasional no alert tone when receiving email. Phone has been rebooted all settings checked. Not cool apple, use this for business can't go around staring at my phone all day afraid of missing important message.
Clearly this is working for almost all iPhone 6 users. It's not clear if you have a question.
It might help us to help you if you actually stated what Settings you have checked (and how they are set)?
If you really have checked everything there isn't much to say but I'll venture a guess. Do you have "Do Not Disturb" turned ON?

Here are my settings:
Do not disturb is off, phone is not on silent, ringer in sounds are at full max. In message i have text message forwarding to 1 device (iMac). Allow notifications, badge app icon and show on lock screen are all selected on. Show preview and show alerts from everyone are also selected.
No headphones have been connected and socket appears to be clean. This has been a gradual event going back several weeks where back then it would occasional skip a message or two, at this point no alert at all.
Latest software, any help would be appreciated.
