Yosemite affecting ability to lockdown browser for taking Medical NBME subject exams. School has asked students to purchase PC laptops instead of the more popular MacBooks. Seeking help from fellow Apple Fanboys!

Re-posting this question: Is there a way to disable continuity feature?Yosemite doesn't seem to work with online exams administered by NBME that need to be in a lockdown browser. I think VDCassistant is the problem as we were able to shut down in the past.

You can disable Handoff in the General pane of System Preferences, but that wouldn't stop you from enabling it again during the exam. People who are determined to cheat will find a way, on a Mac or a PC.

NBME has modified the Lockdown Browser as of mid March, this is no longer a problem with the VDCAssistant.
