Wrong Game Center account for COC?

My son has been playing clash of clans on my iPad. I tried to transfer it to his Android tablet but it's saying that the COC is attached to the wrong Game Center account. How do I find out which Game Center account it's referring to?

here's how I see your problem...

he played CoC as you on your iPad, tying the CoC Game Center data to frances0518. Now he is trying to get to that same data as [ sonOFfrances ] AppleID?

Even Apple cannot merge AppleID accounts or their data.

Using Game Center on your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support says

Report a problem

To report a problem with a game, follow these steps:

  1. Search for the game in the App Store.
  2. Select the game and look for the game's support link. On iOS, look on the Reviews tab below App Store Ratings. On Mac, look in the right column of the of game's App Store page.
  3. Use the support link to contact the developer.

Sooo...

Clash of Clans in the iTunes App Store > https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/clash-of-clans/id529479190?mt=8

Support link > https://supercell.helpshift.com/a/clash-of-clans/

search [[ transfer game data ]] yields:

How do I transfer my village to another device? > https://supercell.helpshift.com/a/clash-of-clans/?s=keep-your-village-safe&f=how -do-i-transfer-my-village-to-another-device

at the bottom of that page:

iOS-Android or vice versa
Make sure you’ve installed the game on both devices, keeping them both on-hand. Use the ‘Link a device' feature in the in-game settings, then press ‘Link a device' on both. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transfer.

This feature cannot be reused. Following use of the 'Link a device' feature, your game will be connected to both Game Center and Google+. In the future, you’ll be able to use those services to connect your village to further devices. This is why you only can only use 'Link a device' once.

voila !?!

frances - that last info baffling

Are you saying that he played CoC ON your iPad as an some user other than yourself? and he is unable to tell you what user that was? Is it possible that he played the game as "not logged in"? (my son doesn't play CoC but does play a "Hobbit" game where it is possible to play as a guest that is tied to the device itself. In other words, he could have a game going as himself AND as a guest0123456 (not playing simultaneously, of course)

How about this... can your son still get to his game on your iPad? Would that not let you know the account?

I have a similar problem.

I play Modern War on my iPad and iPhone. I have both accts linked through game center.

A few days ago, the game on my iPad was NOT my game at all. It had connected to my friend's game that's on a different iPad using a different game center. I didn't think that was possible.

I want my game back on my iPad.

My game center profile is marmeaux

My iPad Version: 8.4

Model: MC769LL/A

Serial Number: DR********FHW

Information from a message sent to Gree aka Modern War

Game Center: G:124052273

Device ID: D56CA021-1E6D-4144-8AAF-A2376EFDFB9B

Device: iPad 2 (Wifi)

My Player ID with Modern War is ******

I've tried deleting the app and re-installing it but the info in iCloud is my friend's game, not mine

Please tell me what can be done to get my game back.

Thanks

Marlene
