Q: The security questions don't show up when trying to access itunes store

I am trying to upgrade a game already installed on my new iPad.  My password is changed but although I can sign on to the store, I get the message that because this is my first purchase on this device, I need to answer the security questions.  The pane comes up with two security questions supposedly on it.  I have the answers to the questions, but the questions aren't there, just blank spaces.  I have tried typing in the answers to two of the questions, but of course they are wrong because I don't know which of the 3 questions are supposedly there.  And I'm afraid to try again because they will shut me out.

How can I make those questions show up?

    Hi Nancy,

Happy New Year ... and congratulations on the purchase of your new iPad.  Sorry for the initial frustration with your security questions .... but let's see what we can do.

The screen that you are seeing with blank questions is odd ... so the best thing to do is re-establish the connection to the iTunes Store.   To do that,  quit the iTunes Store app and restart your iPad.

Then, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store.  Tap on your Apple ID and sign out, then sign in again.  The security questions should appear correctly.

I'll include a link to our iTunes Store Support team if you continue to have issues with this initial login.

    • View open apps. Double-click the Home button to reveal the multitasking screen. Swipe left or right to see more. To switch to another app, tap it.

In the multitasking display, drag an app up to close it.

    • Close an app. If an app isn’t working properly, you can force it to quit. Drag the app up from the multitasking screen. Then try opening the app again.

    How to restart

    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
    3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

    How to reset

    • You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
    • To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
