Q: Suddenly can't get new Yahoo! mail on my mac.

I can get gmail, and can get Yahoo! mail using other my other apple devices (through same internet service). Also able to log into webmail with no issues. Didn't change any settings since yesterday (the last time I was able to receive new Yahoo! mail on my mac). Seems like a problem specific to the mac itself, since it's not an issue with the internet, server, or account credentials.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

I want to report the same issue as thegluethatholdsthisthingtogether. I additionally ran Connection Doctor and all the status were green¡¡¡

I am experiencing the same issue. This wasn't happening yesterday, and I haven't changed anything.

    I'm using a 2011 13" MacBook Pro.

I started having the same problem yesterday as well. I'm assuming Yahoo or Apple updated something we weren't aware of? A solution would be great. And in the future, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Having exactly the same issue.  Yahoo Mail is working on my iPad and iPhone 5 but not on my MAC and it was until a few days ago.

I can receive into my Junk mail only and can send but it will not update anything new.

Everything shows up at Green Eric on my MACBOOK PRO.  I will get the little triangle symbol that says it's unable to update and may be a problem with the imap server but the junk mail will update and it will send, it just won't receive.

Based on the number of posts about Yahoo mail in the last few days, it appears it may be Yahoo's servers. Why it works with iDevices and not Mail is a mystery.

    Eric,

It works fine on the iPad and the iPhone, so it is not an issue with the server. Yahoo's email webmail works fine also. It has to be problem with the

    mail app on the OS.

I have the exact same issue that everyone is reporting. I can send messages but am not receiving any thru the MAC OS

I have the same problem too. I can receive Yahoo emails on iPhone and iPad but not on MacBook pro. But I can send emails from Yahoo account thru the MacBook pro. It's been a week since this is happening. And I tried removing the Yahoo! account and adding it again. It did not help.

Not that this helps, but enabling connection activity logging in Connection Doctor and then examining the log file showed:

Everything looks fine until the last command.  Mail tried to fetch the messages in my Inbox and got a "FETCH Server error" in response.  The strange thing is that it seemed to work fine on all other folders (Sent Messages, Drafts, etc.).

I'm having the exact same problem! It happened about a week ago. All of a sudden, I wasn't able to get new mail on my yahoo account. My other exchange account worked just fine. I let it go for a few days (all the while, I was still able to get mail on my iOS devices and in the browser version) hoping it'd start working, but it didn't. So I deleted the account and tried to readd it. Nothing. For a while, it wouldn't even show up in my mail app! Finally, after deleting and readding a few times, it showed up in my mail app, but I can't get new mail! The option isn't even available to be clicked on!

    Any help would be appreciated!
