My wife's Macbook Air computer camera does not connect to any camera program. But more importantly, it seems to make the picture taking "click" at odd times while she is doing other things. I told her to put a small strip of tape on the camera. The sound has stopped. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this is?

No, it does not.
I doubt that this is anything serious, but if you want to go through an elaborate procedure to make sure some kind of spyware is not installed, ask.
Thanks, but I think I will first update her software. There does seem to be a problem with the camera connecting to applications in several people experience. If that problem is ameliorated, then I will consider the problem solved and keep the sticky tape on the camera.
