Hi. upgraded iTunes to 12.0.1 but when I connected ipad mini, it said "iTunes could not connect to the ipad "IPad" because the device timed out." So I uninstalled then reinstalled iTunes. Also checked drivers, restarted PC but still nothing. Tried diagnostics and got "no ipod, iphone or ipad found." What should I do? Thank you.

When receiving a sync session timed out alert, I would recommend forcing all open applications to close, restart the device and restarting iTunes. Attempt the sync again after processing these steps.

Try uninstalling all the Apple components from control panel -
1. iTunes
2. Apple Application Support
3. Apple Software Update
4. Apple mobile Device Support

Restart and then Reinstall iTunes 12 . This worked for me on windows 8 , 8.1 . Hope this helps.
