OS X Mail doesn't receive mail from yahoo anymore. I can send mail, see other folders with same account. When I get account info with ctrl+click yahoo inbox, all of the folders have some megabytes, but inbox has 0 bytes altough there are many unread mail in yahoo inbox.

Try rebuilding the mailbox. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

What does Mail/Window/Connection Doctor Show? If the server is red, select it and look at the Show Details box.

Thank you for your reply. I have used connection doctor, the server is Green. Try to rebuild the yahoo mailbox, but instead of my other mail adress, this function doesn't work for yahoo mail. Can't click on rebuild mailbox when yahoo mail is choosen. This email also my icloud ID.
Have exactly the same issue for the last 4 days or so. One day suddenly filled inbox again then stops mid afternoon, deleted account then added back new now nothing in in box and has been like this 2 days despite leaving mail running all night. Is there a good alternative mail program that works on OS X but is better than Apple Mail? Seems to have issues all the time... :-(
Same problem I have for two days.. I did everything including the rebuilding of the Yosemite. But nothing changed.. As you said I can send email but cant see inbox. And also I did everything in the e-mail support section but the result is negative....
Tell me about it right! I have the same exact problem. Two days ago my Yahoo mail on the Mail app started acting funny and now it's completely faulty. At first I checked Connection Doctor and the Yahoo Mail server was red, so I decided to delete the account and add it again. The Connection Doctor for Yahoo Mail is now green and says it connects to the server. However, everything BUT the inbox is fulled with mail. What's even more strange is that mail is received on my iPhone with the same account no problem.

Based on what I've read in the posts here, the problem is with the Yahoo servers.
But we can use another yahoo mail account without any problem.. The problem can be secondary to the mail adress related to apple id. But The problem cours not be solved up to now...
This has been frustrating to me as well. I went through a complete reinstall and did not solve the problem. I realize my apple ID and Yahoo e-mail address are the same. Could this be the problem? It used to work perfectly fine until sometime in December. Now it's completely broken. It will not pull any messages from the INBOX but seems to be pulling content from other folders. Apple or Yahoo! help! help! help!
