Jan 17, 2015 8:44 AM in response to Dreamersheartsby ChitlinsCC,Be sure you have the driver for Mavericks installed > http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=106004&BV_UseBVCook ie=yes&infoType=Downloads&platform=OSF_M_X9
Just in case it doesn;t do the trick, I see that your Question has languished for some period of time without response. You have posted your issue in Using Apple Support Communities whose topic is 'How to use this forum software's interface, features and/or how to find what you wish'. It is a relatively low traffic and inappropriate forum for your problem. I will ask our Hosts to move it to " OS X Mavericks " where it may get a more rapid response from your fellow users.

Jan 17, 2015 10:14 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby Dreamershearts,That's the thing though I'm unable to download Maverick's printer driver in order to install it, hence why I'm here, because I think I'm missing something. And thanks for asking the host to move this, because maybe they can help me.

Jan 17, 2015 11:08 PM in response to Dreamersheartsby babowa,Did you go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and click the + button to add a printer? As long as the printer is connected, it should find it and download the necessary files.

Jan 18, 2015 5:17 AM in response to Dreamersheartsby greg sahli,The primary way to get the latest print drivers (if the printer is still supported by the manufacturer) is through Software Update or, deleting and re-adding the printer in Print & Scan prefs. It says here your printer is supported:
OS X: Printer and scanner software available for download - Apple Support
If you can't get the updated driver the normal way, try Resetting the Printing System and then add it in prefs again:
