What version of FCPX? You must update to FCPX 10.1.4. Are you telling me that you are using almost four years old version of FCPX 10.0 ??
I've already updated FCP10.1.4 when I put Yosemite 2 months ago..... I've iMac (27 pollici, Fine 2009) and only 4GB of memory, cold be this? (with the previous version I've never had this problem..)
Not sure what you''re saying. Two movies can be selected and imported OK, but three or more crash the app?
BTW, what format is the media on the card?

Format AVCHD already used with previous OS and FCP....
Same problem here. Even with 12gb of ram on a late 2009 27" iMac. I even tried a clean Yosemite install with only FCPX installed. Everything up to date. AVCHD import crashes with more than 3 or 4 short clips. This behavior wasn't present before the last dec fcp update OR the last january osx update. One of those updates f****d everything up.
