Jan 17, 2015 1:08 PM in response to lizzielastby beinahpets,★HelpfulI just fixed this a second ago. What worked for me: Delete the song from your computer, send the file to the trash.
Go to your purchased song on iTunes, you'll find it to the left of your iTunes search bar.
In the purchased section choose "Not In my Library" and filter by "Album" or Song". Or you can just search the song.
Click the cloud image if for which ever song you want to download or click "Download All" at the bottom right.
THIS WORKED FOR ME. I'M NOT AN EXPERT. HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU!

Jan 19, 2015 8:21 AM in response to Nielby lizzielast,Thanks for the suggestions! I will look into all of these options after work!
I'm thinking you're all right and it has to do with my specific iTunes downloaded on my computer or the file of some sort- because I've logged into my iTunes account at work and the song PLAYS! What?? So bizarre! So it's clearly about my iTunes setup - and maybe deleting is the way to go. I'll start with the song first then iTunes itself.
Thanks everyone who actually read my question and gave me responses that didn't include links I've already tried . Fingers Crossed!
