Can I downgrade from iOS 8.1.2 to iOS 7.1.2

Are there any instructions on how to downgrade my iPhone 4S from iOS 8.1.2 to iOS 7.1.2. My iPhone feels a lot slower ever since I have upgraded to iOS 8. Upgrading it each time has improved a tiny bit but I would much prefer iOS 7.1.2. I have tried to search YouTube videos on how to do it but everytime I try, it comes up with, "This device isn't eligible for the requested build." Can somebody please help me?

Sorry, downgrading is not supported by Apple.

Set it up as new device instead:

Apple does not support downgrading. There is no path to do so. Apple stops signing the older iOS, and that is why you get that error.

It is not recommended to do as it might compromise the OS. I don't think you'll get much help here. try non-Apple.com forums.
