Mavericks External display issue

I recently upgraded to OS X Yosemite and connected my laptop to external Samsung TV.

Nothing shows up but with Mavericks it was working fine.

After doing some research i found out that doing below would solve my problem

PRAM/NVRAM resets and then SMC resets.

But this solution is temporary.

Each time I disconnect and reconnect my laptop I have to do these resets.

Do we have any permanent solution to fix this external display issue in Yosemite?

Today I downgraded to Mavericks but still the problem exists.
