can my minor daughter have her own account as my family member and charge purchased to her own credit card?

Currently I family-share my iTunes with my minor daughter. She purchases songs which are charged to my bank card. l would like to set her up with her own apple id so she can purchase her own songs and use her own bank card, but still share so I know what she is purchasing and how much she is spending. is this possible?

iPod nano, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Bank card - no.

Gift cards - yes.

Family purchases and payments:

"After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer's card."

Thank you - that helps. I could get her a gift card and use it like a music allowance, but she'd have to keep track of how much she buys or the overage would just be charged to my bank card.

You could also look into setting up "Ask to Buy" so that you will approve her purchases before they go through:
