Siri starts talking on its own.

Siri, starts talking on its own, usually in the middle of the night. Not connected to anything. Just blurts out stuff.. Creepy..

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2

Hi, The Hey Siri setting is OFF, and iPhone is not connected to anything. Also for the last few months, when this happens and wakes me up, if I try to turn Siri off with the home button Siri starts asking how she can help.. So I click the power button to turn the iPhone off. Then Siri will start up again after some time.. Weird..

Then I suspect your phone is seriously broken (no pun intended). Try restoring it using iTunes and set up as New; don't install any apps or restore your backup. If the problem is still there you have a hardware problem. If that fixes it you can try restoring your last backup. If the problem comes back you have corrupt data in your backup.

Yes, seriously broken by the sound of things.. Did as you said but Siri talked to me last night, to my wife's displeasure.. Turned Siri OFF and still blurting weird stuff out now and then.. Time for a trip to the Apple store..
