after yosemite update, can't get iphone 6 (iOS 8.2) to work as remote

Since upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.1 and the latest Keynote 6.5.2 on my MacBook Pro Mid 2010, my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.2) won't even show up in the remotes list in Keynote. I can enable my iPad, but not the phone. Have restarted both phone and MacBook but no luck. Everything is on my home network. Same issues connecting via Bluetooth. iPad and MacBook pair/connect, but iPhone and MacBook connect temporarily before disconnecting.
