Q: my phone will charge but not sync

my phone will charge when hooked up to the usb, but will not recognize the phone to sync it. I've tried every trouble shooting method on here. I have every update available and still nothing!

HELP!!

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2

Select another USB Port or try another cable and see if you get the same result. Sorry if you have tried this already sometimes it is the simple things.

What version of iTunes are you using on your computer? You need iTunes 11 or higher.
