Q: Iphone 6 photos too colour saturated

photos in the iphone5 appeared very natural with perfect colour balance. My new iPhone 6 however takes photos that are clearly colour satured. They just dont look that great. Its sporting an apple leather case. Could the case have an impact? Anyone else havimg the same issue with iphone 6?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.2

    Hey JdeJ,

Thanks for the question. Let’s check to see if a filter has been applied to your camera/pictures. To do so, open the camera application and tap the filters button:

Take photos and videos - iPhone

Apply a filter:  Tap the filters button to apply different color effects, such as Mono or Chrome. To turn off a filter, tap the filters button, then tap None. You can also apply a filter later, when you edit the photo.

    Thanks,

    Hi Matt,

Thanks so much for your answer. Indeed, it appears that the "chrome" filter has been selected for some reason as I never use the built-in filters, and hence why the colour saturation was so high. When turning it off, the photos now look normal. I noticed something strange over the weekend when editing photos, and one particular photo I decided to "revert to original" and the filter was removed as well, resulting in a natural looking colour palette. Sometimes complex problems have simple solutions. Thanks a million, problem solved :-)
