using a tp-link router, can airport express be used to extend my coverage?

I am using a TP-LINK router, can I use airport express to boost my wifi coverage?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

If your goal is to have a wireless connection between the AirPort Express and the TP-Link router to extend this router's Wi-Fi range, then the answer is no as the two are incompatible for this method. However, if you can support a wired connection between routers then they both can be configured for a "roaming" network which would work.
