Water Damaged iPhone 6

I dropped my iphone 6 in the toilet last night, and since then had it in a bag of rice. Currently it still isn't working. I was wondering what is the likelihood that the iphone would start working again, and if not, how I be able to get all my data off the phone to be backed to my comp so I could put it on a new iphone.

The iphone was around 75% before I dropped it in the toilet. After retrieving it, the light at the back of the phone (flashlight) was glowing yellow by itself for about 30 seconds, before turning into its usual white light color for about 20 seconds, then the light shut off completely. I was wondering if this is a new water damage indicator indicating that the 6 is completely damaged. Also, I have insurance with ATT, so shouldn't I get a free phone replacement from them?

If it is dead, it will probably stay dead. Leave it in the rice for at least a week and then try and see if it starts up. If it does, then backup your phone ASAP as the phone could fail in the future. If you cannot get it to work, you are out of luck. The only way you can get data after it is dead is if you had it backed up before the phone was damaged.

An out of warranty replacement at an Apple Store in the US is $299. Prices vary by country.

IIRC, AT&T's insurance program has a $150-$200 deductible. Check with them to be sure, but I doubt you'll get a 'free' replacement.
