I purchased a Procooler 2 from the web address below
www.mac-xx.com
it seems a well engineered alloy tilted stand with machined base to dissipate the heat, under normal surfing conditions my machine runs at around 45-50 degrees C. not sure if that is a reasonable temperature but is better than without the Procooler.
It may not be suitable to use on your lap but on a desk it is fine.
There were no problems with tax when it entered the UK and arrived here 5 days after posting from Hong Kong by registered ( signed for ) mail. I see from the web site there is now a discount on the price.

I chose the koolsink but I don't really use my laptop on my lap. Also, I did post this awhile ago to hear feedback/opinions, it helped.

Also, check out Amazon.com's customer reviews on ilap towards the bottom of the product page, here's one:

Rick,
No marks as of now but for the future I cannot say, I think with careful handling when putting it down on the cooler there should not be any more risk that with the other metal coolers that are available.
It is important to specify which model it is for, as there are recesses for the feet to sit into and the large recess position cut into the base may be different model to model.
Hardware Monitor and Core Duotemp seem to agree that after a hour the temperature sits around 48 degrees. Being new to the Mac system I really do not know if that is satisfactory, I would just add I have never seen the claimed 28 degrees as shown in the Youtube video (only on the way past ! ) but the case does feel cooler to the touch, I was concerned about the temperature when I first had this machine as the base of the case along the edge where the screen hinges was almost too warm to touch.

for a great utility to control the MBP's fans or just get diagnostic info on fan performance.

May be the most significant topic on the MBP discussion forum since heat became an issue.

(NOTE: Read through the entire topic; an installer for the software fix is found in later posts.)
