Sometimes using a different DNS server can help but only a little and only if yo use a lot of different URLs since the DNS queries are catched

But if you are in the US, you could try OpenDNS: 208.67.220.2220 & 208.67.222.222
Or google DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
If you have a PC or run Windows on your Mac you can run this test
using other dns servers to make my mac faster
