Jan 19, 2015 10:23 AM in response to CineMaverickPatby Meg The Dog,Compressor < version 4 does not work in Yosemite.
There are no reported work arounds to this AFAIK.
If you need to use Yosemite, then it might be best to build a dual boot system that allows you to boot into the OS that supports the software you need.

Just to say that 3.5 actually does work for me on Yosemite. However.. 3.0 is pushing it.

Jan 21, 2015 6:54 PM in response to Russ Hby Studio X,3.5 may work, but the preference panel doesn't - which makes the setting up of clusters a real PIA - need to learn terminal setups.
My recommendation is if you want to run compressor on 10.10, spend the few bucks to run C4.

Jan 22, 2015 9:19 AM in response to Russ Hby Shane Ross,Compressor 3.5 doesn't work in Mavericks nor Yosemite for me. So it's a crap shoot whether or not it will work. Some say it works, some say it doesn't. The fact is, it's unsupported. And if it doesn't work, the only option is to get Compressor 4...or some other encoding software.
