    What kind of Portable player ?

    What format are the photos ? .jpg, .bmp, .tif ? ? ?

     

    You might try

    - Create a SlideShow in iPhoto and burn this

    - Use the SlideShow function in iDVD

    - Create a movie building on Your Slides - best control over final result
